On July 13th, 2016 my team and I worked together on an editorial photoshoot. Our collaboration took place at the Resort at Paws Up in Greenough, Montana. The photoshoot was a styled Montana elopement that was a shout out to the west. We had everything from horseback riding, a carriage, a styled dinner, and of course antique turquoise jewelry. Other aspects included floral tablescapes, vintage turquoise artwork, Montana made decor, calligraphy invitations and menus, an outdoor bar with cocktails, a styled cake table, and a fire pit. All of these elements, when paired together, completed the ranch elopement vibe.
The “bride”, Miss Montana 2015, wore Willowby’s Penelope gown. Her stunning, boho gown was paired with hand-painted cowboy boots. To complete her look she also wore a vintage Native American hair pin along with new and vintage turquoise jewelry. The “groom” donned a cowboy hat and a ranch style twist on a tux.
Recognition & Features
The day came together beautifully and I am still so excited about the recognition that it received. This styled Montana elopement ended up being featured on Cake and Lace, Borrowed & Blue, Luxe Mountain Weddings, and A Northwoods Wedding. It has been such an honor to be featured on each of the publications and I know that I couldn’t have achieved it without my amazing vendor team. I am still so in love with the pictures and every time I look back on the day it makes me super antsy for my next adventure at Paws Up.
